Celebrate Mardi Gras 2024 with JBHG

The Krewe of Highland is back with the vibrant Mardi Gras Parade this year on February 11, 2024. As one of Louisiana’s most awaited and celebrated holidays, Mardi Gras drew crowds of revelers eager to partake in the festivities. With colorful floats, lively music, and an atmosphere brimming with joy, the parade brought the community together in a celebration like no other.

Like last year, Johnson Behavioral Health Group participated in the parade celebration, but this time with even more grandeur and enthusiasm. However, our participation extended beyond just enjoying the festivities; it was infused with a deeper sense of purpose and responsibility. As ambassadors for mental health awareness, we seized the opportunity to spark meaningful conversations amidst the lively celebration.

Led by our dedicated CEO, Dr. Abigail Johnson, we brought our commitment to mental health advocacy and an infectious spirit of togetherness, with Dr. Johnson’s family and friends joining the celebration. With a bigger float, a louder presence, and generous giveaways, we made our presence feel louder and brighter to showcase our commitment to community engagement and support.

Dressed in a striking outfit that combined elements of Mardi Gras festivity, CEO Abigail Johnson’s presence radiated warmth and brilliance, drawing people toward the cause of this community engagement to spread her advocacy toward mental health wellness with each step along the parade route.

CEO Abigail Johnson seized this opportunity to engage directly with the community to spread awareness and understanding about the importance of mental health. Armed with informational materials, fun giveaways, and a compassionate demeanor, she reached out and interacted with people from all walks of life to show active celebration and festivities with a cause.

Mardi Gras is not just any party or celebration; it is a timeless tradition steeped in history and cultural significance. More than just a party, it serves as a beacon of liberation and authenticity. People can look forward to it to feel more free and more themselves, to form deeper bonds, and to showcase expression and creativity. It offers individuals a rare opportunity to have fun while casting aside societal constraints and embracing their true selves without fear of judgment.
