Psychiatric Evaluations

A psychiatric evaluation is simply a diagnostic tool used by psychiatric providers. It may be used to diagnose problems with memory, thought processes, and behaviors. A psychiatric provider obtains the necessary information by asking specific questions which may be answered orally or in writing.

Medication Management

Medication management involves the initial evaluation of the patient's need for psychotropic medications, the provision of a prescription, and ongoing medical monitoring related to the patient's use of the psychotropic medication by a prescriber.

The information provided here is intended to help our patients better understand how they may be reimbursed for services provided by Johnson Behavioral Health Group.

We recommend our patients to contact their insurance company to confirm their level of coverage with an out-of-network provider in advance of their visit to our office.

Office Visits

Payments are made with credit card, debit card, or check.

We understand that navigating the insurance coverage process may be stressful; therefore, at Johnson Behavioral Health Group, we attempt to make the process as smooth as possible for our patients.

At all of our sites, JBHG accepts a wide range of insurances. Please see the list of accepted insurance companies to see if your plan is approved for treatments across our health system.

If your insurance company is accepted by JBHG:

Please contact your insurance provider to confirm what services are covered under your plan and learn about copayments, deductibles, and coinsurance amounts.

If your insurance company is not accepted by JBHG:

This implies that your insurance plan is out-of-network, which means you'll have to pay more for your care. If you choose to get care at Johnson Behavioral Health Group, please contact your insurance carrier for further information on your financial responsibilities.

Is your Insurance Accepted by JBHG? Patients with out-of-network coverage are able to reimburse for all or part of their visits with our providers. The number of reimbursement patients receives from their insurance company depends on their specific plan, their copay, and annual deductible.

Also, many insurance plans impose caps on the amount that a patient may be reimbursed for an office visit.

Medicare or Medicaid recipients will not be reimbursed because our office does not bill Medicare. Patients will pay for services rendered by our providers 24 hours before their visit.

See below for the CPT codes and fees from the superbill that will be received from our office upon completion of the appointment.

Lab Work

JBHG does not Bill Insurance with Lab Work.

There are lab companies that offer a “prompt pay” discount when patients prepay for their lab work, instead of the lab billing the insurance company.

In some cases, depending on the insurance carrier and the amount of the prompt pay discount, our office will recommend the prompt pay option to lock in a lower price.

Also, please note that if lab work is required, the patient will make financial arrangements (usually insurance) with our laboratory partner and not this office.
