Psychiatric Evaluations

A psychiatric evaluation is simply a diagnostic tool used by psychiatric providers. It may be used to diagnose problems with memory, thought processes, and behaviors. A psychiatric provider obtains the necessary information by asking specific questions which may be answered orally or in writing.

Medication Management

Medication management involves the initial evaluation of the patient's need for psychotropic medications, the provision of a prescription, and ongoing medical monitoring related to the patient's use of the psychotropic medication by a prescriber.

The information provided here is intended to help our patients better understand how they may be reimbursed for services provided by Johnson Behavioral Health Group.

We recommend our patients to contact their insurance company to confirm their level of coverage with an out-of-network provider in advance of their visit to our office.

Office Visits

Generally, patients with coverage are able to reimbursed for all or part of their visit with our providers. The amount of reimbursement patients receive from their insurance company depends on their specific plan, their copay and annual deductible.

Also, many insurance plans impose caps on the amount that a patient may be reimbursed for an office visit.

Medicare or Medicaid recipients will not be reimbursed because our office does not bill Medicare. Patients will pay for services rendered by our providers 24 hours before their visit.

Payments are made with credit card, debit card, or check.

Our office does not bill insurance; however, we provide our patients with a copy of the superbill which is submitted to their insurance company for reimbursement. The superbill is a detailed medical receipt that contains procedure codes, diagnosis codes, and the fees charged for their office visit.

See below for the CPT codes and fees from the superbill that will be received from our office upon completion of the appointment.

Lab Work

While our office does not bill insurance, the laboratory that we work with is able to bill insurance on the patient’s behalf.

There are lab companies that offer a “prompt pay” discount when patients prepay for their lab work, instead of the lab billing the insurance company.

In some cases, depending on the insurance carrier and the amount of the prompt pay discount, our office will recommend the prompt pay option to lock in a lower price.

Please be advised this is not a complete list of our services. Also, please note that if lab work is required, the patient will make financial arrangements (usually insurance) with our laboratory partner and not this office.
