Meet Our Staff
Abigail Johnson, APRN, PMHNP-BC, MSN
Abigail is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is an active member of the American Nurses Association (ANA), the American Psychiatric Nurse Association, and the Louisiana Nurse Practitioner Association.
She began her education at Panola College, receiving her associate's degree in nursing. She later received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She graduated in 2017 from the University of South Alabama with her master's in nursing as a nurse practitioner. She will be completing her doctorate degree at the University of South Alabama in August 2022.
Abigail has worked in various healthcare settings, both psychiatric and medical. As an experienced healthcare provider, Abigail utilizes her eight years of experience to assist her patients in improving their quality of life and decreasing their current symptoms.

Abigail provides medication management and support to help identify the root causes of her patient’s current symptoms. Abigail believes that working together as a team is the best approach to gain successful outcomes for her patients. Her goal is to provide personalized, holistic, and high-quality care. Abigail strives to maintain a safe and relaxed atmosphere for her patients. She is an advocate in providing education to her patients concerning their treatment and diagnosis to make informed decisions concerning their treatment.
Cristina Evans, APRN, PMHNP-BC, MSN
Cristina is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Northwestern State University of Louisiana. She is passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services across the lifespan. Cristina possesses strong clinical skills enhanced by natural ability to build rapport with patients and families. She follows evidence-based guidelines blended with clinical experience, personal observation, and intuition. As a PMHNP, Cristina’s role is multifaceted, including educator, mental health advocate, and medication provider.
Cristina values interdisciplinary education and inter-professional collaboration for a patient-centered approach to mental healthcare and quality of life. Cristina is always advocating for innovations in healthcare and has special interests in integrating behavioral medicine, trauma-informed care, suicide prevention, and addressing relationship health.
